Who we Are ?

Steered by a group of enthusiastic youths, a small endeavor was initiated in the early 1993 albeit pledged to serve the society. Motivated by the overwhelming response to the activities undertaken in the small area this dedicated band of workers realized the potential of organized social work. Thus to make the movement more meaningful and effective, it was decided to register it as a Voluntary Organization. ‘SUPRATIVA’. Subsequently, it was registered under the Societies Registration Act-1860, the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Act-1976 and the Income Tax Act-1961.

Mission:
It aspires to bring hope, aspiration, and joy to everyone by bringing out the inner talent and potential (su-prativa) in every individual to perform the best.

Vision:
SUPRATIVA envisions the establishment of the long cherished goal of a society that has full of peace, joy and happiness and harmony, assuring every individual the freedom from poverty, ignorance, hunger, fear and exploitation, manifesting unambiguous affirmation of basic human value, humanity and mutual respects.

Main Objective:
To identify the problems of the weaker section of the community, prioritize and resolve them with the available resources though organized, systematic and holistic approach.

Target Group:
The Organization works for every cross sections of the society but more or for their under privileged category quite emphatically. It humbly attempts to make positive discrimination in favour of the following deprived classes of people in all its developmental activities:

Neglected Children 
Poor and Destitute Women
Unemployed Youth
Road Users
Tribal Folk
Physically Challenged
Senior Citizens

Strategy & Approach:
SUPRATIVA believes that community participation is the key to success in all developmental initiatives. Hence, it promotes the participatory and partnership modality approach from the very stage of planning to implementation, monitoring the progress and evaluation of the programme with critical analysis.

Management:
The Organisation is managed by a General Council consisting of 19 members out of whom seven members constitute the Executive Council. All of them are empowered with professional excellence and practical in-field.
Problem analysis and prioritization of action plan.
Participatory and comprehensive planning process.
Promotion of indigenous as well as innovative technologies
Formation of people's institutions and strengthening them.
Resource mobilization internally and externally.
Training and capacity building.
Documentation and dissemination of information.
Networking and alliance building competency in the development sector. 

The Secretary is the chief functionary of the Organisation. The Organization is backed by a band of dedicated and highly motivated professionals who help implement various programmes of SUPRATIVA with true grit and gumption.
